They will be navigated to clever.com in Safari, and will be able to see their profile in Clever. To access Seesaw, they will scroll down until they find the Seesaw icon, and tap it.
They will be redirected to the Seesaw app, and will be fully logged in. From here, they can tap on their name in the top left corner and switch to whatever class they need to access.
Be sure to make the Clever badges available to not only the students but the parents as well. We suggest sending the Clever badges to all parents through email, so if their student loses one, they can reprint it again. |
We suggest posting something engaging-- it could be a video of you reading a story, or a video of your class participating in an activity. Posting a variety of visuals is the best tactic to keep parents checking back to SeeSaw. Announcements are a handy feature in SeeSaw – and updating your SeeSaw class regularly is recommended. This will not only help students stay updated, but parents are likely to appreciate them too. |
This is crucial, since you and your class will be using SeeSaw heavily possibly the entire school year. In the first couple days of school, we suggest getting students familiar with SeeSaw through in-class tutorials. That way in the event that we change to virtual, they will be confident in their knowledge of how to use the platform. In addition to this, encourage them to like and comment on each other's work, to promote a kind and helpful classroom. |
Some CCA teachers recommend browsing the SeeSaw community library of activities if you don't have any ideas. And once you create an activity, you can add it to a collection which organizes it for future use. Many teachers in the district use SeeSaw Shortcut Icons to make their activity instructions more visually pleasing: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14pkfZLzatOK1iUmIGWuo6sH5RkXDHToK/view. |
In the event that the district goes completely virtual, CCA teachers are recommending a heavy use of the Skills feature. This is so you can really keep track of your students' progress even if you can't be face-to-face every day. |
